The Whole Bird Workshop - 31st October
Service Description
The Whole Bird Workshop 🍗 It’s official! Chicken is the most popular meat in the UK for good reason—it's economical, versatile, and tasty. However, it is far more cost-effective to buy a whole bird and break it down yourself rather than purchasing expensive pre-prepared cuts. In this hands-on workshop, you will break through the intimidation and learn how to confidently handle and joint a whole chicken. From that starting point, we will focus on multiple ways to transform each part of the bird using a variety of spectacular recipes. What you will cook and learn: • Knife Skills: Learn to joint a whole chicken into crowns, thighs, drumsticks, and wings. • Thai-Style Chicken Kiev: Stuff and bread chicken breasts with a vibrant, aromatic Thai herb butter. • Pipelchuma Thighs: Sear juicy thighs with a spicy Libyan chili-garlic paste, soured cream, and pickles. • Buttermilk Drumsticks: Master the secrets to ultimate crispy, golden, and tender fried chicken. • Tamarind Chili Caramel Wings: Toss crisp wings in a sticky, tangy, and sweet glaze. • Stock & Skin: Learn to make rich white and brown stocks, and crisp up perfect savory chicken skin.
