Cake Making & Decorating Class - 27th July, 10am - 2pm
Elevate your baking skills with an immersive, hands-on masterclass led by our resident expert, Luke, at our professional on-site patisserie.
Set within a beautifully restored rural barn, this intimate workshop focuses on the technical precision required to create a variety of signature sponge cakes. Beyond the bake, Luke will guide you through the professional artistry of cake finishing, sharing industry techniques for mastering velvet-smooth buttercreams, elegant icings, and flawless decorative flourishes.
With small class sizes and a focus on high-end results, you will leave with the confidence and skills to replicate patisserie-standard creations in your own kitchen.
BY BOOKING ONTO THIS CLASS YOU AGREE TO THE OUTLINED TERMS & CONDITIONS STATED IN THE POLICY. PERSONS UNDER 16 CAN ONLY BE BOOKED ONTO A CLASS WHEN ACCOMPANIED (BOOKED ALONGSIDE) BY AN ADULT.
FAQs
- We pride ourselves in all our classes being hands-on and interactive, including demonstrations and making the recipes yourselves
- Recipes are provided to re-create your dishes at home
- Everything is provided for the day - aprons are provided, all equipment and ingredients included
- We ask you to bring some containers please, if possible. Whilst you eat some of your creations, there is often plenty to take home too
About our Cookery School & Classes

Designed for food lovers who want a hands-on experience, this is the perfect, fun-filled day mastering new skills, designed to leave you inspired, relaxed, and with lots of delicious treats to take home.
The Experience
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with refreshments before beginning your culinary adventure. Guided by our expert, professional chefs, this is not a demo—it is a truly hands-on experience. You will master new techniques, sharpen your skills, and create delicious dishes from scratch. With a maximum of 8 participants, you’ll receive tailored guidance every step of the way, ensuring you leave with newfound confidence and skills.
We believe in a truly special experience, which means we provide everything. From the ingredients, to equipment, and aprons, you do not need to bring anything with you. Just bring your passion; we take care of the rest—including the cleaning!

Our commitment to you doesn't end when the class does. You will receive a bespoke recipe pack, allowing you to recreate these stunning dishes at home. Plus, you’ll take home your culinary creations to share (or keep for yourself!)

Nestled in the heart of the rolling countryside, our cookery school is housed within a converted historic farm. Surrounded by tranquil farmers' fields and situated in the heart of a charming village, the school offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
We are proud to be part of a vibrant community of independent local makers, artisans, and producers, creating a unique atmosphere of craft and quality that begins the moment you arrive.
Our purpose-built kitchen has been designed with your comfort and inspiration in mind. Flooded with natural light through expansive glass windows and doors, the space is fully climate-controlled with modern air-conditioning and heating. Specifically designed for small groups, our studio ensures you have plenty of space, and a comfortable, unhurried environment to perfect your craft.
To make your visit as seamless as possible, we provide ample free on-site parking.

Terms & Conditions (Ts&Cs) for Bookings
A)Classes use induction hobs which may affect pacemakers. If you have a pacemaker check with a professional before booking. B)Persons booked onto this class are 16 years old or over (do not need to be accompanied), or for any persons aged under 16 years old they have been booked in alongside a responsible adult. C)Do not attend classes at Luke’s Patisserie (LPs) if you are unwell (suffer sickness (vomiting/diarrhoea, skin rash, sore throat, viral infection, COVID-19 symptoms or fever) within 48 hours of the class. See cancellation terms (O,P,Q). D)Any person can take the place of a booked person (without charge). Any person’s attending classes at LPs agree to these Ts&Cs. E)Classes are subject to change, should changes occur from LPs you will be entitled to transfer your class without charge (to the value of your class), or cancel (with full refund). F)In the event of a power failure, frozen water pipes, flooding or other circumstance outside our control, we reserve the right to reschedule the class. We will transfer your class without charge to a class of your choice (to the value of your class), or cancel (with a full refund). G)We require to hold your personal information for this booking. We will not sell/give your information to third parties. H)You will adhere to health and safety protocols given in the class. I)Whilst we give health and safety information for classes and put safeguards in place, you are accountable for your own health and safety. We cannot control your actions. Therefore, tutors and LPs cannot be held liable for injuries or health and safety problems you encounter/obtain. You acknowledge and agree to the health and safety risks that are integrally present by attending a cookery class. J)You will be asked to leave if you demonstrate inappropriate/dangerous behaviour and will not be offered a refund. K)You will not hold tutors or LPs accountable for any damage or loss of property whilst at LPs. L)Tutors and LPs cannot be held accountable for the safety of food for consumption once it leaves LPs. M)Our liability to you under all circumstances does not exceed the total cost of the class value booked. N)We cannot guarantee ingredients in classes are allergen free. O)Class cancellations or changes 1)BEFORE 21 days of a class can be done minus 10% 2)WITHIN 21 days of a class can only be done if we can refill the space minus 10%.
